What is Mid-Acts Dispensationalism?

Paul is repeatedly referred to as the Apostle to the Gentiles in the New Testament, but apart from this fact, Paul alone refers to the present time in which we live as the Dispensation of Grace (Ephesians 3:2). He also says that a dispensation of the gospel n was given unto him in 1 Corinthians 9:17-18.

A dispensation is the same as an administration, and in this present dispensation of grace, salvation is being dispensed to uncirmcumcised gentiles by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:9-9).

Before the Revelation of the Mystery was given to Paul, it was hidden, and was never the subject of prophecy (Ephesians 3:1-6, Colossians 1:25-27).

The 12 Apostles vs Paul
During the time of the Lord Jesus’ ministry on earth as depicted in the four synoptic gospels of Maztthew, Mark, Luke and John, the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven was preached (Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:35; Matthew 24:14; Mark.1:14) which had been the subject of Old Testament prophecy and which clearly states that the Kingdom of God is to be established on this earth at some point in the future, with Jeruslam at it’s centre (Isaiah 2:1-4; Micah 4:1-3; Zechariah 8:20-23). This is the prophesied Kingdom that Jesus stated was ‘at hand’ (Matthew 3:2; Matthew 4:17; Matthew 10:7) with Jesus as it’s King. But the nation of Israel rejected Him and the wasn’t established as we can see today.

Since neither the Old Testament nor the four synoptic gospels ever mention salvation being offered to the uncircumcised gentiles (apart from Israel’s exaltation and becoming proselytes to Judaism), these scriptures cannot be written to the Church today in this Dispensation of Grace. Romans 15:4: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

With that said, all the prophecies wrt gentile salvation through THE GLORIFICATION OF ISRAEL have yet to be fulfilled because Israel is currently lo-ammi – in a fallen state to her unbelief (Isaiah 2:1-4; Micah 4:1-3; Zechariah 8:20-23). Once the Dispensation of Grace has run it’s course and the times of the fullness of the genriles has been reached, the prophetic clock will once again start ticking and the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven will once again resume whereby gentile salvation will once again be through Israel. So salvation will once again be through Israel’s exaltation and not through her fall (as is the case during this age we currently live in).

It is clear from the four gospels that the 12 apostles didn’t know or realize that Christ would die and be resurrected, if they did, they would not have continued preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven, nor was this gospel the one by which we are currently saved. We are saved as per the Gospel preached in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, that Christ died, was buried and resurrected. We worship the risen, glorified Christ.

Besides, not once did the scriptures in then Old Testament ever foresee that uncircumcised gentiles would one day be saved through Israel’s fall, hence The Mystery given to the Apostle Paul.

We are also commanded in 2 Timothy 2:15 to rightly divide the Word of Truth, so we shouldn’t be reading Israel’s mail and especially taking it to apply to the Body of Christ today, nor should we be stealing Israel’s identity and so taking her promises for ourselves. The Jews are God’s earthly people. The Body of Christ are God’s heavenly people.
